Senior Manager, Social Strategy – KAYAK – Cambridge, MA.

Seeking a Senior Social Strategist to develop and implement an ownable strategy for KAYAK’s social channels, driving organic and paid growth across platforms.

• Define and implement a distinct, ownable social strategy tailored to different channels based on audience needs, platform nuances, and business objectives.
• Identify unique audience and content opportunities using first- and third‑party insights.
• Develop a strategic approach addressing when and how to enter cultural/trending moments.

• Partner with the Social Content Lead and Creative Team to set a distinct creative direction for each channel and develop a regular cadence of relatable, relevant ideas that align with strategy and brand.
• Own the experimentation roadmap: propose new formats/features, prioritize tests, and drive the social strategy for specific product launches, campaign moments, and influencer partnerships.

• Partner with the Paid Media team to turn performance insights into a robust feedback loop that fuels a full‑funnel paid strategy.
• Define channel KPIs and success metrics; use native and third‑party analytics to measure impact, iterate quickly, and report results.
• Deliver recommendations for scaling influencer and creator partnerships to meet strategic goals.

• Manage and mentor internal stakeholders and external agencies/partners; ensure creative and performance alignment.
• Serve as the social lead on cross‑functional campaign launches with Brand, Media, Creative, PR, and Product teams.

• Skilled in building social strategies and social‑first programs that drive follower growth, expand reach, and influence business metrics.
• A platform expert (Tik Tok, Instagram, Facebook, Reddit) who lives and breathes social and monitors emerging spaces.
• An exceptional operator and collaborator who thrives in fast, complex environments.
• Someone who understands that social for KAYAK isn’t just pretty destination photos, “how to pack” videos, or travel‑content clichés.
• Able to spot trends early, follow the zeitgeist, and translate cultural moments into strategic opportunities.
• Strong at defining and quantifying social success—fluent in native and third‑party analytics and skilled at linking performance to business KPIs.
• Obsessed with creative excellence and refuses to settle for boring work.
