Description:
MIT seeks an Interfaith Chaplain and Program Director to foster interfaith understanding, spiritual well-being, and ethical growth for the MIT community through the leadership of two key programs--the Addir Interfaith Dialogue Fellows and the Radius program in ethics.
Will administer the Addir and Radius programs and ensure that program operations run smoothly; facilitate the growth and development of student participants in the Addir Fellows and coach student leaders; and design and implement lectures, workshops, and discussion groups about important ethical issues, particularly related to scientific and technological developments. Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree (master’s preferred) in a related field
- Three years of experience, preferably in higher education
- Excellent organizational, leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects
- Understanding of and experience with young adult development
- Understanding of diverse religious traditions and successful strategies for interfaith engagement
- Experience in program development
- Understanding of ethical issues
- Experience with effective strategies for advocacy
