Overview
Registered Nurse – Postpartum in Cambridge, Massachusetts, starts 06/23/2026 for 13 weeks. Earn $2,605 to $2,642 per week with guaranteed 36 hours per week. Shift is rotating Day/Night in a hospital setting.

Hospital/Postpartum unit with newborn care - Local rate option:
Locals within 50 miles eligible for a local rate ($8 less than posted rate)
- Provide direct postpartum nursing care to mothers and newborns on the postpartum unit, including ongoing assessments, vital signs, and patient education.
- Administer and monitor IV therapies and medications per orders (e.g., IV antibiotics, IV magnesium intermittently, PRBCs, Rhogam, Lovenox) and document responses.
- Monitor for postpartum complications (e.g., postpartum hemorrhage, magnesium management) and respond per unit protocol.
- Support lactation and newborn care, including breastfeeding guidance and coordination with lactation resources.
- Document all nursing care in the electronic medical record and participate in multidisciplinary rounds and discharge planning.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort, maintain appropriate equipment readiness (infant care items, IV pumps, BP monitoring, newborn warmer, breast pump, etc.) and adhere to unit guidelines.
- Active Massachusetts RN license with NURSYS verification pulled within the last 7 days
- 1+ year of acute care postpartum experience; travel experience preferred
- AHA BLS and NRP certifications required
- Lactation certification preferred; EPIC EMR experience preferred
- Must be able to work every other weekend and every other major holiday; flu vaccine required during season
- Submission requirements: up-to-date resume showing postpartum experience; 2 recent Charge RN/Manager/Supervisor references; current license verification; RTO details included at submission (not guaranteed after confirmation)
- Hospital system-wide orientation (3 days) plus on-unit orientation (3 days)
- Guaranteed hours provided as part of the contract
- 13‑week assignment with ongoing support through the placement
- 24/7 recruiter and travel support; ongoing assignment coordination
