Overview
The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Med Surg/Telemetry unit is responsible for providing high-quality patient care, monitoring vital signs, and coordinating treatment plans.
This role requires strong clinical judgment, the ability to manage multiple patients, and expertise in medical-surgical and telemetry care.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care in a medical-surgical and telemetry setting.
- Monitor patient conditions, including vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and responses to treatment.
- Administer medications and perform necessary medical procedures.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Educate patients and their families on treatment plans and post-care instructions.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of Med Surg experience.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification (required before the start date).
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Experience in critical care with familiarity in Med Surg ratios and acuity.
