Registered Nurse, Inpatient Orthopedic​/General Surgery Unit

Key Responsibilities

• Providing competent care for pediatric surgical patients on a 22 bed inpatient unit, with patient ratios of 1:3-4. Surgical specialties include orthopedics, general surgery, trauma, ORL, and plastic surgery.
• Working collaboratively to provide family‑centered care as a member of a multidisciplinary team that delivers expert care.
• Attending to the full range of human experiences and responses to health and illness without restriction to a problem‑focus orientation.
• Providing a caring relationship that facilitates health and healing.
• Working 36 hours per week, rotating days/nights and every third weekend.

Education:

BSN required.

• A Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing.
• A minimum of one year of inpatient acute RN experience; two years strongly preferred.
• Pediatric or surgical experience strongly preferred.

Massachusetts RN Licensure.

The posted pay range is Boston Children’s reasonable and good‑faith expectation for this pay at the time of posting.
