American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position on a 6 North unit, requiring prior travel experience and Epic proficiency.
Details- Works on a Med/Surg Telemetry unit (6 North) in a hospital setting
- Patient population includes post-op surgery (general, orthopedics, GYN, vascular), heart failure, chest pain, pneumonia, cellulitis, pancreatitis, and alcohol withdrawal
- Administers and monitors non-titrating drips including Heparin, TPN, Lasix, and Cardizem per protocol
- RNs are responsible for identifying cardiac rhythms every 4 hours; monitors are located on the unit with no central monitor tech
- 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, three shifts per week
- Every other weekend required
- Holiday rotation required
- Floating to other units as needed
- No on-call requirements
- Epic EMR experience required
- Local candidates within 50 miles of the facility are eligible; a local pay rate applies
- Active MA RN license required; NURSYS report showing all licenses (past and present) required for consideration
- Current AHA BLS certification required
- Minimum 1–2 years of Med/Surg Telemetry experience required
- Prior travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers will not be considered
- Epic EMR experience required
- Two recent Supervisor or Manager references in a matching specialty required for consideration
- Current specialty-matched skills checklist required for consideration
- Driver's license with address matching demographics on file required for consideration
- Flu vaccine required during flu season
- Bi-weekly orientation schedule
- Block scheduling is not permitted
- RTO must be submitted upfront; no more than 5 days of RTO allowed per contract
- Candidates fluent in Spanish, Portuguese, or Haitian Creole are encouraged to note language proficiency on their resume, as the unit serves large populations speaking these languages
- Any color scrubs are acceptable
