Director of Nursing

Salary: $120,000–$150,000, depending on experience

A respected and growing healthcare organization is seeking an experienced and compassionate Director of Nursing to lead clinical operations at its Provincetown community.

This is a high-impact opportunity for a proven nursing leader who understands skilled nursing and long-term care and knows how to build strong teams, improve clinical outcomes and maintain regulatory excellence.

The DON will serve as a key member of the facility’s leadership team, partnering closely with the Administrator, Medical Director and interdisciplinary staff to create an environment where residents receive exceptional care and nursing professionals feel supported, accountable and empowered to succeed.

• Lead all nursing services and clinical operations
• Ensure high-quality care across skilled nursing, rehabilitation and long-term care
• Direct QAPI, infection-prevention and continuous-improvement initiatives
• Maintain survey readiness and regulatory compliance
• Manage nursing staffing, scheduling, performance and retention
• Recruit, mentor and develop nurses and clinical leaders
• Monitor clinical outcomes, documentation and quality indicators
• Oversee care planning, medication management and interdisciplinary coordination
• Partner with facility leadership on budgets, staffing and operational improvements
• Build strong relationships with residents, families, physicians and employees
• Create a positive culture of accountability, teamwork and clinical excellence

• Active Massachusetts Registered Nurse license, or ability to obtain before starting
• Current CPR certification
• Minimum three years of nursing leadership experience
• Direct skilled-nursing or long-term-care experience is required
• Strong knowledge of CMS regulations, state surveys, QAPI, infection prevention and regulatory compliance
• Demonstrated success managing nursing teams and clinical operations
• Ability to commute reliably to Provincetown

• Current or previous Director of Nursing
• Strong Assistant Director of Nursing ready to advance
• Experience leading successful state surveys and plans of correction
• Success improving staffing, retention, clinical outcomes and workflows
• BSN preferred
