Duties:

Client is seeking an exceptional candidate to contribute to preformulation research in a small, fast-paced and highly collaborative team. This temporary position resides within the Formulations Sciences group of Technical Operations in the Non-clinical Development Sciences organization. The candidate will contribute to the execution of laboratory activities related to the transition of Client small molecule compounds from Discovery into Development in support of Client pre-clinical and clinical programs.

An ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in analytical techniques such as UPLC/HPLC (Empower proficiency is desired but not required) and dissolution, and an understanding of early drug development processes and experiments. Experience in preformulation development and physicochemical characterization is desired, however not required.

Candidate should have 2+ years’ experience working in pharmaceutical sciences (preformulation, analytical or formulation development).

Qualifications:

Degree in chemistry, analytical chemistry, pharmaceutics, chemical engineering or material sciences with 2+ years’ experience.

Experience in the Discovery and Development interface.

Experience working with common excipients and volumetric glassware.

Proficiency with UPLC/HPLC and Empower Software (not required).

Knowledge of small molecule and pre-clinical formulation development (not required).
