Overview

We are seeking an accomplished Senior Scientist to join a leading global pharmaceutical biology research team in Cambridge, MA
. This role offers the opportunity to lead discovery-stage research programs and drive the validation of novel therapeutic targets in complex disease areas. The successful candidate will combine scientific depth with leadership ability, contributing to strategy, experimental design, and cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and execution of discovery biology programs, from hypothesis generation through target validation.
  • Apply advanced scientific expertise to develop innovative approaches that progress therapeutic concepts toward preclinical development.
  • Drive project strategy, ensuring scientific rigor, data quality, and alignment with program goals.
  • Mentor and guide junior scientists, fostering technical development and a collaborative team culture.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external academic/industry partners to expand program capabilities.
  • Translate research findings into impactful publications, presentations, and leadership updates.
  • Ensure adherence to best practices in scientific integrity, compliance, and safety.
Qualifications
  • PhD in biology, disease biology, or a related life sciences field.
  • 4+ years of postdoctoral or industry research experience in discovery biology or related areas.
  • Proven track record of scientific innovation, evidenced by publications, presentations, or patents.
  • Experience leading projects or work streams within cross-functional teams.
  • Strong expertise with relevant in vitro, in vivo, or ex vivo models.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across disciplines.
  • Prior experience in drug discovery is highly desirable.
