Position: Technical Associate I
REQUIRED:

Bachelor's degree in neuroscience, biomedical engineering, computer science, psychology, or related field with two years of experience, (which may include experience gained as an undergraduate); ability to enter MRI scanner suite; experience with programming (ideally Matlab or Python); good interpersonal skills and comfort working with human participants, as well as sensitive handling of confidential information; ability to conduct some experiments outside of business hours;

good written and oral communication skills; flexible, resourceful, proactive, and collegial; motivation and attention to detail; strong organizational and communication skills; ability to manage large datasets and complex technical procedures; proficiency with data analysis and signal processing; and commitment to ethical human subject research practices. PREFERRED:

Experience with neuroimaging or biomedical research.

TECHNICAL ASSOCIATE 1, Research Laboratory of Electronics, to support neuroimaging research in the Lewis Lab s interdisciplinary lab focuses on advanced brain imaging techniques and the neuroscience of sleep. Will recruit, screen, and interact with participants for neuroimaging studies; conduct complex neuroimaging studies using multiple data acquisition methods (EEG, fMRI); perform specialized simultaneous EEG-fMRI procedures; process and analyze large-volume neuroimaging data (>5 GB per session;

>200 GB per study), including signal processing, image processing, time series statistics, and programming; manage lab operations including supply purchasing and record-keeping; contribute to IRB protocol development and amendments; track human subject enrollment and quality improvement metrics; conduct literature reviews and provide additional project support as needed.
