POSTDOCTORAL ASSOCIATE, Materials Science and Engineering (DMSE, IMES) - Prof. Tania Lopez Silva, to join an interdisciplinary research team developing immunomodulatory and biomimetic peptide-based materials for diverse biomedical applications; and develop and implement advanced cell analysis platforms including but not limited to multiparameter flow cytometry and single-cell analysis, to interrogate the immune response to biomaterials and evaluate the performance of immunomodulatory peptide gels.

This project integrates immunoengineering with material-based technologies, enabling high-dimensional profiling of immune cell phenotypes and cell-material interactions in complex systems. The overarching goal is to establish reproducible and scalable bioassay pipelines to uncover immune mechanisms that drive responses to peptide-based materials and their therapeutic efficacy in healthy and disease models, with direct application in cancer. The candidate will work closely with a team of experts in peptide chemistry, supramolecular chemistry, materials science, bioengineering, and biomaterials development to advance our fundamental understanding of cell-material interactions and accelerate the development of materials-based immunotherapeutic approaches.
