Job Summary

A postdoctoral position is immediately available in the Dulac laboratory at Harvard University to study the neurobiology of social and sickness behavior. We seek a highly motivated individual with an interest in neurobiology, molecular biology, and/or computational biology to join our team. Social interactions are essential for animals to survive, reproduce, and raise their young. Over the years, the Dulac lab has explored the unique characteristics of social recognition, identified the cues that trigger distinct social behaviors, and identified specific genes, cell types and circuits involved in the control and modulation of social and sickness behavior circuits in mice.

We are interested in further investigating how the function of these circuits is modulated by the animal physiological status and environmental context.

Basic Qualifications
  • Recently obtained a Ph.D. in a relevant field.
  • Demonstrated productivity through publication.
  • Ability to clearly convey difficult scientific concepts through excellent written and oral communication.
Additional Qualifications
  • Experience with bioinformatics is strongly encouraged.
