Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Department of Stem Cell and Regenerative Biology (HSCRB), Harvard University
Laboratory: The Laboratory of Stem Cells, Aging and Genome Medicines headed by Dr. Amy Wagers.
The lab applies stem cell biology, immunology, and genome engineering to elucidate fundamental mechanisms of tissue regeneration and to develop new gene and cell therapies for currently incurable human diseases.
Ongoing Projects- Interrogate fundamental mechanisms of blood and skeletal muscle stem cell function in tissue regeneration
- Engineer and test novel in vivo gene transfer technologies
- Develop strategies to induce immune tolerance to therapeutic proteins and tissue autoantigens
- Advance curative therapies for rare genetic diseases and age‑related disorders
- Ph.D. (or equivalent, e.g., M.D./Ph.D.) in biology, immunology, genetics, bioengineering, or related field.
- Demonstrated record of research achievement (e.g., first‑author publications or manuscripts in preparation).
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Experience with mouse models, flow cytometry, gene‑transfer technologies, advanced imaging, and/or computational analysis of genomic data.
SalaryOptional compensation: $67,600–$80,000, dependent on experience and qualifications.
