TitleHMS - Postdoctoral Fellow in Microbiology
Position OverviewWe invite applicants for a postdoctoral fellow position in the Rouskin lab at Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts. The Rouskin lab focuses on the discovery of endogenous human RNA switches (riboswitches) through large-scale, high‑throughput screening approaches. We welcome applications from recent PhD graduates who are interested in these or related fields, particularly those who may bring new technology or perspective to the work in the lab.
Responsibilities- Develop an independent research project within the lab’s research focus, under the guidance of Dr. Rouskin.
- Carry out bench research and apply for fellowship funding.
- Contribute to the writing of grants and manuscripts.
- Participate in teaching and mentoring of lab members as needed.
- Contribute to overall lab operations and foster a collaborative environment.
This position is salaried and benefits eligible. Postdoctoral fellow salary is determined by the number of years post‑PhD. Further information can be found at (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below)..
With this appointment, you are represented by the Harvard Academic Workers (HAW) UAW for collective bargaining and matters affecting your compensation and working conditions.
Basic Qualifications- Ph.D. in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Computational Biology, or a related field.

One‑year term position from the date of hire, with possible extension based on performance, business need, and continued funding.
