Senior Scientist – Digital Insights, Omics Platforms
We are seeking a Senior Scientist to join the Omics Platforms team within the Digital Insights group. The role focuses on the development, validation, and implementation of omics technology and the creation of analysis platforms to support drug substance, product, and analytical development across biologics, vaccine, and small molecule pipelines.
Responsibilities- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to perform and support omics analysis of biomanufacturing processes.
- Lead proteomics and metabolomics data analysis and multi‑omics data integration across pipeline programs.
- Design, develop, and adapt computational approaches and pipelines for novel applications.
- Democratize data access for non‑computational stakeholders by building interactive dashboards and maintaining databases.
- Author technical documents and reports in accordance with regulatory requirements and business practices.
- Manage stakeholder relationships across IT, analytics, manufacturing, process development, quality, and regulatory partners in a matrixed environment.
- Apply FAIR principles to maintain a well‑documented, reproducible, and versioned codebase.
- Communicate scientific findings in a dynamic, fast‑paced global team setting.
- Ph.D. in Biology or a related life science with a strong bioinformatics component (graduation September
2026 or before). - M.S. in Biology or a related life science with a strong bioinformatics component, at least 2years of experience.
- B.S. in Biology or a related life science with a strong bioinformatics component, at least 4years of experience.
- Strong programming skills (e.g., R, Python, Nextflow, Bash).
- Experience in cloud‑computing environments and data/workflow management.
- Proficiency with version control tools such as Git (Git Hub, Bit Bucket).
- Expertise in at least one omics domain (proteomics, metabolomics, genomics, transcriptomics).
- Excellent collaboration, organization, and communication skills.
- Analysis of proteomics and metabolomics data.
- Transcriptomics methods (bulk and single‑cell).
- Pathway analysis, host‑cell protein characterization, PTM characterization, and in silico immunogenicity screening.
- Multi‑omics integration methods (e.g., proteomics/metabolomics with transcriptomics).
- Metabolic modeling and ¹³C metabolic flux analysis in CHO systems.
- Genome assembly (viral, bacterial, eukaryotic).
- Experience in GxP or GMP environments.
- Familiarity with bench methods (proteomics mass‑spec, sequencing library prep, microbial culturing).
- Adaptability, bioinformatics, biological sciences, cloud computing, computational biology, global team collaboration, innovative thinking, life science, metabolomics, Nextflow, omics, pathway analysis, programming (Python), strategic thinking, technical writing, transcriptomics, version control.
- Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
