Position: Assoc. Scientist - Technical Development B7 II - USA
Location:

Cambridge, MA

Introduction

The Oncology research department is seeking a talented individual with a strong background in cellular and molecular biology to join their Target Discovery and Biology group. The successful candidate will engage in innovative research in oncology, collaborating with leading research groups.

Required

Skills & Qualifications
  • MSc or BSc or qualified Lab Technician in cellular biology, molecular biology, or another relevant discipline
  • 2-5 years of biomedical research experience
  • Proficiency in cellular and molecular biological methods such as CRISPR, qRT-PCR, cloning, cell culture, immunoblotting, and FACS
  • Experience with software such as Client Office, Prism, and Spotfire
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills in English
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Highly collaborative and self-motivated team player with critical scientific thinking
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Prior work experience in the industry
  • Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2
Preferred

Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience using basic bioinformatics tools for experimental design, data analysis, and interpretation
  • Experience working in oncology research
  • Familiarity with new state-of-the-art technologies in molecular and cellular biology
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
  • Design, perform, and interpret in vitro experiments under the leadership of the Lab Head
  • Propose experimental alternatives and explore new technologies
  • Analyze and report data, presenting findings in team meetings
  • Work safely and effectively with radionuclides
  • Critically read literature and apply insights to projects
  • Collaborate closely with multiple teams across expertise groups within Oncology
  • Contribute to maintaining a functional laboratory and technical equipment
