This position will be part of the Translational Medicine Solid Tumor Lab Research Team based in Cambridge MA, and will focus on tissue-based research, including spatial biology. The team deploys the latest high dimensional profiling tools (including single cell genomics/epigenomics and spatial protein/RNA characterization) in patient tumor samples to fill translational knowledge gaps relevant to our early and late development pipelines.
Such knowledge gaps include the study of tumor and microenvironment heterogeneity, identification of mechanisms of action and resistance to therapy, and improved patient stratification with Client biomarkers.
This role will support our team to answer key translational questions for our programs. The primary responsibilities of the role will involve performing high dimensional profiling spatial and single cell assays on tissue samples.
Position ResponsibilitiesKey responsibilities include operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of latest generation Pheno Cycler Fusion and Nanostring Cos Mx instrument; preparation of samples and reagents; and assistance in assay development and optimization.
Operate and maintain the Pheno Cycler Fusion and auto-staining instruments.
Prepare and manage reagents. Perform reagent validation and QC. Prepare slides for analysis.
Maintain an up-to-date and accurate record of samples, reagents. Maintain and organize the inventory.
Perform routine data transferring and assist with data analysis.
Assist in the development of new assays, methods, and reagents.
Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor's degree in biological sciences, engineering, chemistry, physics, math, computer sciences, or related fields.
Prior experience with spatial technologies or pathology/histology/IHC is preferred but not required, as training will be provided.
Ideal candidates will be quick learners and comfortable with new technologies and have excellent hands‑on and organizational skills, with attention to detail and quality.
Skills for effective and timely communication with colleagues.
One year of related experience preferred.
Working ConditionsContingent worker will be primarily in a laboratory environment and will work with hazardous materials, including human tissue and blood samples.
