Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a highly motivated Biochemist/Molecular Biologist to support a fast‑paced DNA production and protein expression research lab in Cambridge, MA. Qualified candidate will play an essential role in a high‑energy DNA production and protein expression research laboratory. The group supports non‑GMP transient protein lead production across the organizations diverse biotherapeutic discovery portfolio to enable research units and their pre‑clinical therapeutic in‑vitro and in‑vivo needs.

The candidate is expected to have a strong background in molecular biology techniques and experience with nucleic acid production and analysis. The successful candidate will grow bacterial cultures and perform large‑scale DNA production activities following standardized protocols. The candidate will be a key contributor to the scientific team responsible for protein expression and purification.

• B.S. in Biological Sciences, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or a related life sciences discipline
• 2+ years experience with molecular biology techniques including plasmid preparation, nucleic acid purification, and quantitative DNA analysis
• 2+ years experience with bacterial cell culture systems
• Proficiency in DNA QC methods including gel electrophoresis and sample preparation for sequencing
• Experience operating automated or semi‑automated lab instrumentation - Experience with NGS library preparation or sequencing workflows
• Familiarity with Python scripting for data analysis or workflow automation
• Experience with plate‑based (96/384‑well) high‑throughput workflows
• Familiarity with LIMS or sample management platforms (e.g., Freezer Pro, Genedata)
