About the Job

The Digital Consumer Experience group at Sanofi is seeking a proactive and insightful Senior UX Researcher to join their team. The primary role is to conduct research using a range of methods to understand customers and surface insights that ensure our digital solutions are user‑centered, innovative, and valued by users. The researcher will lead research projects throughout the development lifecycle, execute research independently or with external vendors, and contribute to product strategy efforts.

Responsibilities
  • Design and execute mixed‑method research studies (surveys, interviews, usability testing, field observations, diary studies, etc.) following best practices.
  • Conduct foundational research to understand user behaviors, needs, and motivations.
  • Recruit diverse, representative participant samples and manage research vendors to meet study outputs.
  • Analyze research data to identify patterns and actionable insights, and synthesize findings into clear, decision‑ready reports and presentations.
  • Create customer journey maps, personas, use scenarios, and other synthetic frameworks that enable team members to understand customer needs, behaviors, and wants.
  • Scope experience opportunities, conduct benchmarking, and frame CX/UX problems to inform digital experience strategies.
  • Support strategy activation by defining MVP experiences and prioritizing initiatives for implementation.
  • Present findings and strategic recommendations in a compelling storytelling manner to internal audiences, including senior leadership.
  • Facilitate workshops, ideation sessions, and empathy exercises to build group consensus and enable evidence‑based decision making.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with designers, product owners, and other internal stakeholders to integrate research findings into product and experience decisions.
Basic Qualifications
  • Seasoned experience conducting research directly informing digital development work and iteration cycles; 5+ years as a CX/UX researcher, preferably in a consulting or corporate environment.
  • Proficiency in various CX/UX research methodologies (quantitative and qualitative), including surveys, interviews, usability testing, and field observations.
  • Strong ability to analyze and synthesize complex data into actionable insights; experience using AI to accelerate analysis and insight generation.
  • Demonstrated ability to work closely with cross‑functional teams, including designers, product managers, and engineers.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for presenting research findings and collaborating with stakeholders.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human‑Computer Interaction, Psychology, Anthropology, or a related field; advanced degree preferred but not required.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Adobe, Fig Jam, and other design and research tools; fluent in developing visually compelling artifacts (journey maps, personas, etc.).

  • Visual communication: create compelling research artifacts such as journey maps, personas, and user stories.
  • Technical proficiency with research and design tools (Dovetail, Maze, Miro, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Analytical and problem‑solving skills to generate actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication abilities for presenting research findings to stakeholders.

Benefits & Compensation
  • Salary range: $90,000 – $130,000.
