Associate Statistical Project Leader – Cambridge, MA or Morristown, NJ
About the JobJoin the Biostatistics Immunology & Inflammation (I&I) team as Associate Statistical Project Leader. Lead multiple phase 2 or 3 studies at a minimum of two locations, developing innovative statistical solutions to support critical trial decision‑making and advance treatment across all phases of drug development.
Main Responsibilities- Design and support the clinical study protocol, including sample size calculation, randomization specifications, and statistical methodology.
- Prepare and oversee all statistical deliverables:
Statistical Analysis Plan, data surveillance, and statistical analysis results for the Clinical Study Report (CSR) and annexes. - Utilize external groups such as CROs or Data Monitoring Committees (DMC) and coordinate with the programming team for definitions, documentation, quality control and production of statistical analyses.
- Review statistical data distributions and properties, and ensure analyses are executed according to the SAP.
- Provide statistical insight into the interpretation and discussion of results in the CSR and related publications to maintain statistical integrity and scientific validity.
- Propose, prepare and perform exploratory and ad‑hoc analyses as required by study or project objectives.
- PhD in Statistics or a related quantitative discipline strongly preferred; MS in Statistics or related field required.
- Minimum of 3years of pharmaceutical clinical development experience (Biotech, Pharma, CROs, health authorities, or academic research centers).
- Highly preferred: experience with late‑stage clinical trials.
- Broad knowledge of advanced statistical concepts and techniques, with proficiency in SAS or R.
- Proficient in written and spoken English.
