We are seeking a highly motivated and innovative Senior Associate Scientist to join our discovery research team at Regeneron Cell Medicines. You will be performing immunological functional assays for analyzing genetically engineered human primary T cells (CAR‑T or TCR T cells) from both early discovery programs as well as late‑stage development programs' nonclinical studies that support regulatory submissions. Typicalday
- Contributing to preclinical research and development of CAR/TCR T cell therapies in solid tumor indications
- Characterizing genetically modified primary human T cells via immunophenotyping using multi‑color flow cytometry and molecular assays (PCR, library preps for NGS, RNA‑Seq)
- Developing and performing immunological functional assays to assess immune cell activation, anti‑tumor cytotoxicity, proliferation, and cytokine secretion to evaluate the efficacy of CAR and TCR‑based T‑cell therapeutics
- Designing experiments independently and contributing to the project direction
- Maintaining an electronic lab notebook and documenting experiment results
- Reviewing and presenting research data to the functional team

Required qualifications
- BS/MS in immunology, cell biology or related field and at least 3+ years of relevant experience in a biotech/pharmaceutical industry
- Strong understanding of immunology and cancer biology
- Extensive experience in primary human immune cell isolation techniques and mammalian cell culture, including culture of primary human T lymphocytes
- Experience in in‑vitro immunological studies and development of functional T cell assays using multi‑color flow cytometry, ELISA and cytotoxicity assays
- Experience with gene delivery into T cells or tumor cells using lentiviral vector transduction, CRISPR/Cas9 editing and mRNA electroporation (plus)
- Experience with standard molecular biology techniques, including PCR, qPCR, Westerns, and library preps for NGS, RNA‑Seq
