Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated Scientist to join our Rheumatology team at the Cambridge Research Center (CRC). The ideal candidate will be a collaborative, experienced, adaptable, and driven scientist, with the ability to work effectively in a cross‑functional environment and apply both theoretical and practical knowledge of core scientific research principles. This scientist will support in‑vitro research across our early‑through late‑stage discovery portfolio programs.
Responsibilities include contributing to the design, execution, analysis, and reporting of in‑vitro studies that address key biological questions in rheumatic diseases, including Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) and Psoriatic Arthritis (PsA). The successful candidate will apply fundamental scientific principles to preclinical research and be proficient in laboratory techniques such as cell culture, molecular biology methods, ELISA, flow cytometry, and immune functional assays.
Experience with primary human immune cells and immune‑mediated disease biology is preferred.
- Scientific Research: Design and execute precise in‑vitro experiments to advance understanding of rheumatic disease biology.
- Lab Techniques: Skillfully use methods like pipetting, cell culture, molecular biology methods (qPCR), flow cytometry, and experience with traditional in‑vitro and plate‑based experimentation (ELISAs, MSD, and Luminex platforms).
- Data Analysis: Analyze and interpret results accurately, creating reports and presentations to share with teams.
- Protocol Development: Follow and adapt experimental protocols while implementing new methods as needed.
- Lab Management: Maintain equipment and manage supplies to ensure efficient lab operations.
- Literature Review: Review literature for insights that aid experimental design and contribute ideas.
- Collaboration: Work with cross‑disciplinary teams, offering scientific expertise to drive project progress.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree with typically 0‑3 or more years of experience, or Master’s Degree with no additional experience. - Professional
Experience:
Demonstrated proficiency in cell culture techniques with a strong grasp of molecular biology, including practical expertise in ELISA, MSD, Luminex, and flow cytometry. - Communication Abilities: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the capability to explain complex scientific ideas clearly and encourage collaborative dialogue.
- Interpersonal Capabilities: Proven ability to thrive in a team‑oriented setting, displaying strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.

- The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors, including geographic location, and may ultimately be modified in the future.
