Job Summary
This position will support the Research Integrity Office in the Faculty of Arts and Sciences with a primary focus on school‑wide efforts to foster a culture of research integrity through education and training. The Program Manager for Research Integrity will lead the delivery of research integrity education programming which may include curriculum design and development, logistics management, program analysis, and project management.
In addition, they will work in concert with the Director of Research Integrity/Research Integrity Officer to implement the FAS, Harvard University, and federal research policies on handling allegations of research misconduct.
- Support research misconduct policy implementation, case processes, and related administrative procedures across the FAS
- Develop, update, and implement standard operating procedures in research misconduct case management that align with all applicable federal regulations and guidance
- Research and develop research integrity educational curriculum portfolio contents, and online materials
- Lead development of communication and outreach strategy; foster and maintain relationships within the University research community to increase interest, awareness, and participation in educational programs
- Lead administrative program development which may include recommendation and implementation of enrollment processes, program scheduling, tracking, and reporting; establish workflows in collaboration with all stakeholders
- Develop strong working relationships with faculty, staff, and other internal and external stakeholders associated with educational program; manage scope of delivery and regularly inform stakeholders of program‑related activity and/or decisions
- Develop specialized reports and analyze relevant metrics to define and evaluate program success and to track and comply with any reporting requirements
- Ensure compliance with University policies and procedures and applicable federal rules and regulations
- Development, implementation and management of the Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR) curriculum
- Development and implementation of an evaluation plan to assess the effectiveness of the RCR curriculum
- Development and maintenance of an online presence for the Research Integrity Office to include a website repository of RCR materials and resources
- Assistance with case management of research misconduct cases, including but not limited to sequestrations and forensic analysis, report drafting, committee training and support, and administrative duties
- Work with stakeholders across the FAS to update and implement the Guidelines for Authorship and Acknowledgement, and support the resolution of authorship and collaboration disputes across the FAS
- Manage budget and process expenses
This is a hybrid role and on‑campus work is performed in offices and lecture halls, primarily.

Qualifications Basic QualificationsA Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years of related experience.
Additional Qualifications and Skills- Experience with in an academic research setting; direct experience with federal regulations and research policies
- Advanced degree preferred and/or combination of advanced education, training and experience in research settings commensurate with advanced degree attainment
- Excellent oral presentation and written communication skills. Able to create lucid summaries of complex procedural and scientific information in a very high‑stakes context
- Commitment to teamwork and excellent interpersonal skills, with the capacity to build strong professional relationships and to communicate effectively within a large organization
- Experience or coursework in curriculum development, adult education, or related field
- Ability to prepare project documentation and manage a project through lifecycle stages from project initiation through project closure with strong attention to detail
