Bench Scientist Biologist
Location: 300 Technology Square, Unit 300, Cambridge, MA 02139
Duration: 6-month contract, possibility to extend past that
Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm No overtime
Key Responsibilities
- Execute cell-based and molecular biology experiments with minimal supervision
- Design and optimize experimental protocols to address research objectives
- Maintain accurate, detailed laboratory records in compliance with documentation standards
- Troubleshoot experimental issues and adapt methodologies as needed
- Analyse and interpret experimental data
- Collaborate with team members and communicate results effectively
- Required:
Bachelor s degree in biology, Biochemistry, or related field with relevant laboratory experience - OR master s degree or PhD in related discipline
- Bench scientist biologist experience 2-5 years is ideal
- Proficient in core laboratory techniques including:
- Cell biology methods
- Molecular biology techniques
- In vitro cellular assays
- Drug response assays
- Strong record keeping and laboratory notebook documentation practices
- Demonstrated ability to design experiments independently
- Proven track record of real-world troubleshooting and problem-solving in laboratory settings
- Experience with cancer biology and/or drug discovery
