Bench Scientist Biologist

Cambridge, MA (Fully Onsite)

Pay Rate:
Based on experience and qualifications

Employment Type:

6-Month Contract (Potential for Extension)

Schedule:

Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (No Overtime)

Why This Role Matters

In this role, you will support critical research activities through the execution and optimization of cell-based and molecular biology experiments. Your expertise will help generate high-quality scientific data that contributes to the advancement of innovative therapeutic research programs.

What You'll Do

  • Execute cell-based and molecular biology experiments with minimal supervision
  • Design, optimize, and implement experimental protocols to meet research objectives
  • Maintain accurate and detailed laboratory records in compliance with documentation standards
  • Troubleshoot experimental challenges and adapt methodologies as needed
  • Analyze, interpret, and communicate experimental data and findings
  • Collaborate with cross-functional team members to support research initiatives
  • Perform in vitro cellular and drug response assays

What We're Looking For

  • A current, up-to-date resume
  • Bachelor's degree in Biology, Biochemistry, or a related scientific field with relevant laboratory experience; OR a Master's degree or PhD in a related discipline
  • 2–5 years of bench scientist or biologist laboratory experience preferred
  • Proficiency with cell biology methods and molecular biology techniques
  • Experience conducting in vitro cellular assays and drug response assays
  • Strong laboratory documentation and record-keeping skills
  • Demonstrated ability to independently design and execute experiments
  • Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving experience in a laboratory setting
  • Experience in cancer biology and/or drug discovery is preferred
  • Ability to meet compliance requirements
