Ph.D. in chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, biomedical engineering, bioengineering or other related fields; and be skilled in cell culture, microfluidic fabrication, modeling organ systems, characterization assays such as PCR, immunostaining, flow cytometry, ELISA etc. PREFERRED:
Experience with stem cells and stem cell derived organoids.
Experience with ophthalmology is not required.

POSTDOCTORAL ASSOCIATE, Chemical Engineering, to work in the area of microfluidics and microphysiological systems ("organ-on-a-chip") and under the direction of Professor Maggie Qito model the microphysiological environment of the retina to study retinal diseases and fight blindness. The postdoc will have the opportunity to collaborate with ophthalmology researchers at hospitals to access patient samples and connect preclinical research to clinical practice
