WhatYou'll Do
- Independently design, execute, analyze, and interpret experiments supporting neuromuscular research programs.
- Develop and optimize molecular and cellular assays in iPSC-derived and primary human skeletal and cardiac disease models to assess therapeutic activity and mechanism of action.
- Characterize muscle disease relevant phenotypes in rodent models.
- Present data clearly and concisely in team meetings and other cross-functional forums.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to facilitate research progress.
- PhD with 0-2+ years of relevant academic or industry experience in muscle biology, physiology, or a related field.
- Strong scientific and technical background in muscle biology, disease pathophysiology, and translational research.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience with the following techniques:
- iPSC-derived and primary human myotube and cardiomyocyte culture
- In vivo muscle function assessment, including evoked force measures, treadmill and other relevant endpoints in neuromuscular disease models.
- Biochemistry and molecular biology techniques
- Statistical analysis using Graph Pad Prism or similar data analysis software
- Ability to independently design, execute and trouble shoot experiments
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
- Strong scientific background in muscle biology and/or genetic neuromuscular disorders such as DMD and DM1.
- Direct experience with RNA therapies, antisense oligonucleotides, LNP
- Strong track record of scientific publications and presentations

Additional InformationThe base compensation range for this role is: $-$. Base salary offered is determined through an analytical approach utilizing a combination of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills & experience, job location, and internal equity.
