Position: Pharmacology Associate I (contract)

Summary

The main function of a Pharmacology Associate is to support drug development and research by conducting laboratory experiments, analyzing pharmacological data, and assisting in the evaluation of drug efficacy and safety. A typical Pharmacology Associate works closely with scientists and cross-functional teams to advance therapeutic programs.

Job Responsibilities
  • Conduct in vivo experiments to assess drug activity and efficacy.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic data, prepare reagents, maintain lab equipment, and manage sample inventory.
  • Collaborate with research teams to support preclinical and clinical studies Assist in the development of protocols and standard operating procedures.
  • Present findings in team meetings and contribute to scientific publications.
  • Stay current with advancements in pharmacology and related technologies.
Skills
  • Strong understanding of pharmacological principles and in vivo laboratory techniques.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Graph Pad Prism, Excel, R).
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow complex protocols.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Experience with animal handling and dosing techniques is a plus.
Education/Experience
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Pharmacology, Biology, Biochemistry, or related field.
  • 0-2 years of experience in a research or pharmaceutical laboratory setting.
Pay Rate Range

27 - 32 USD hourly

Please note that contractors are engaged to provide services to Pfizer on a temporary basis in connection with a specific assignment. Contractors are hired and employed through Atrium, our third-party payrolling partner. compensation, medical benefits, fringe benefits and other terms and conditions of employment shall be presented by Atrium upon offer. The pay rate range provided is a reasonable estimate of the anticipated compensation range for this job at the time of posting. The actual pay rate will be based on a number of factors, including skills, competencies, experience, location and/or being pursued and other job-related factors permitted by law.

In addition, this role will be eligible for overtime pay, in accordance with federal and state requirements.
