Position Description
- The Nocera lab is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral fellow to join the research program to explore radical-based mechanistic enzymology, studying PCET within ribonucleotide reductase (RNR). This position is ideally suited for a candidate interested in an interdisciplinary approach using tools from biochemistry (UAA incorporation and protein labeling), steady-state and transient biophysical spectroscopies (i.e. transient laser spectroscopy), organic synthesis, and electrochemistry.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs research and/or development in collaboration with others
  • Optimize and investigate new methods and technologies
  • Prepare manuscripts, present findings at scientific meetings, and contribute to grant applications.
  • Participate in teaching and mentoring activities for undergraduate and graduate students.

Basic Qualifications - 1. A Ph.D. in biochemistry, immunology, chemical or molecular biology or related field and 0+ years of experience
2. Demonstrated record of research achievement.
3. Strong written and oral communication skills.
4. Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team in a highly collaborative environment.
