The main function of a Pharmacology Associate is to support drug development and research by conducting in vivo studies, laboratory experiments, analyzing pharmacological data, and assisting in the evaluation of drug efficacy. A typical In Vivo Pharmacology Associate works closely with scientists and cross-functional teams to advance therapeutic programs.
Responsibilities- Execute in vivo pharmacology studies in support of metabolic disease research programs.
- Perform rodent handling and support animal-based research activities in a vivarium environment.
- Assist with study execution, data collection, and experimental procedures.
- Conduct tissue collection and downstream tissue processing activities.
- Analyze and organize experimental data using standard scientific software tools.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams to support research objectives.
- Maintain accurate experimental records and documentation.
- Follow established laboratory, animal care, and safety procedures.
- Participate in team discussions and contribute to project advancement.
- Bachelor's or master’s degree in pharmacology, Biology, Biomedical Sciences, Animal Science, or a related scientific discipline.
- Hands-on experience conducting in vivo studies.
- Experience handling rodents and performing animal research procedures.
- Strong technical laboratory skills and willingness to learn new techniques.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
