Overview

Formaggio Kitchen – Cheesemonger (Cambridge - Huron Village). We are seeking a full-time, experienced cheesemonger with supervisory experience to work closely with staff to provide delicious cheese and exceptional service to our customers. Our cheese mongers have access to 200-300 cheeses (many exclusive to us in the US) and hundreds of other specialty products. With nearly 50 years in the industry, Formaggio Kitchen maintains close relationships with producers domestically and abroad, enabling our cheese mongers to access their expertise.

We encourage staff to take ownership of ideas and initiatives, and we provide support and resources to help staff achieve their goals, including farm visits, in-depth product training with producers, and development of new programs and marketing initiatives within the store.

A full-time Cheesemonger work schedule requires flexibility to work evenings and weekends. • Provide expert cheese knowledge and customer service.
• Supervise or assist with supervisory duties; support daily operations and team collaboration.
• Collaborate with buyers and producers; participate in training and development programs.
• Support development of new programs and marketing initiatives within the store.

• Prior cheesemonger experience required.
• At least one year in a supervisory or managerial capacity in a specialty food retail or wholesale environment preferred.
• History of providing excellent customer service.
• Exceptional work ethic and ability to work with people of various backgrounds.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently; passion for food; highly organized with attention to detail.
• Experience with retail POS systems / computers.
• Demonstrated strong work ethic and reliability.
