We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Manager to drive business growth across diverse markets. In this pivotal role, you will develop strategic sales initiatives, cultivate strong client relationships, and oversee the execution of sales activities to achieve company objectives. The successful candidate will be based in the New England area and have responsibility for developing new opportunities for growth within a territory which encompasses Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Rhode Island, Connecticut and New York (north of route 90).

- Interact with existing and prospective customers to demonstrate product capabilities, explain features, and promote electron microscope products to achieve sales goals
- Drive new business development by identifying prospective clients, conducting outreach, and securing new accounts
- Oversee account management activities to ensure customer satisfaction, retention, and growth opportunities are maximized
- Solicit orders, quote prices and credit terms, and prepare sales contracts
- Utilize Salesforce to track sales pipelines, maintain customer information, analyze data trends, and optimize sales processes
- Collaborate with marketing teams to create targeted campaigns that enhance brand visibility and generate leads
- Conduct market analysis to stay ahead of industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging opportunities in technology sales
- Lead technical sales presentations and demonstrations to showcase product features and benefits effectively
- Foster a culture of excellent customer service by addressing client needs promptly and professionally
- Contribute to a positive work environment and promote the values and mission of JEOL and its product lines
- Build lasting relationships with customers to focus on long-term growth
- Bachelor’s degree in Science/Engineering or related field, plus 5+ years capital equipment sales’ experience preferably in the field of electron microscopy and microanalysis; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Proven experience in outside sales with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets
- Expertise in business development strategies and account management practices
- Exceptional communication skills combined with a customer-focused approach
- Proficiency with Salesforce or similar CRM tools for analysis and reporting purposes
- Ability to generate leads using Linked In and social media
- Requires a valid driver's license and safe driving record
- Extensive travel throughout the New England and New York area is required

Base Salary Minimum: $80,000 - Base Salary Maximum $100,000 plus commissions. Total compensation is estimated to be in the $145,000- $180,000.
The range above represents the low and high end of the JEOL salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. In addition, JEOL provides a variety of benefits to eligible employees including health and dental insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, a 401K plan with company match and contribution, tuition reimbursement, paid holidays, paid sick time, and paid vacation.
