Become an API Security Sales SpecialistAs an API Security Sales Specialist, this role offers flexibility uncommon in sales. Shape a region, target accounts, and influence strategy. Bring an entrepreneurial spirit and professional expertise to contribute effectively to the go-to-market approach.
Responsibilities- Being accountable for your sales target and overachieving on that sales target.
- Working closely with a Sales Engineer and ensuring their time is used optimally.
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have experience in digital cybersecurity, API Security, API Gateway and Cloud Service Providers.
- Have inside sales/phone selling experience in technology and show evidence of success and progression in role.
- Have experience in channel first sales motions.
- Display history of consistently exceeding individual sales goals and targets.

CompensationAkamai is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For US based candidates only - The On Target Earnings (OTE, base salary + commissions) for this position ranges from $245,000 - $441,000/year; a candidate’s OTE is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location. Compensation for candidates outside the US will vary. The compensation package may also include equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).
