Position: Major Account Executive, New and Existing Accounts- Northeast Region

Responsibilities
  • Articulating Akamai's value proposition to C-Level executives and corporate decision makers
  • Developing a strategic sales plan to create and manage a high-volume sales pipeline through successful execution
  • Working within partnerships across field marketing, sales representatives, and resources to ensure a consultative engagement with customers
  • Managing contract negotiations to ensure customer satisfaction and adoption of Akamai technologies
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree or its equivalent
  • Understanding of Internet performance, Internet Security, Cloud Service Providers such as AWS, GCP, and Azure
  • Successful sales experience in SaaS, IaaS, and solutions sales
  • Enterprise domain expertise in infrastructure, applications, networking, or security, with a background in selling to senior executives
  • High ethics, integrity, and personal willpower
Compensation

Akamai is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For US‑based candidates only, On Target Earnings (OTE, base salary + commissions) range from $173,600–$312,400/year; OTE is determined by experience, skills, certifications, and location. Compensation for candidates outside the US will vary. The package may also include equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP). Eligibility requirements apply.
