Scientific Communications Leader (SCL)
Responsibilities

  • Lead development and execution of integrated scientific communications strategy for assigned oncology asset(s)/franchise(s).
  • Define scientific communication priorities across milestones (data readouts, congresses, publications, regulatory events, launch prep).
  • Architect the scientific narrative and messaging platform; ensure messaging is evidence-based, differentiated, medically accurate, balanced, and consistent across functions/geographies.
  • Create and evolve core narrative assets (communication platform, scientific lexicon, message houses, FAQs, reactive tools); translate complex clinical data for diverse audiences.
  • Drive congress/disclosure preparedness (pre-, during-, post-congress).
  • Oversee scientific communication deliverables (narratives, key statements/messages, congress plans, disclosure Q&A, slide decks, field training materials, support materials); provide direction on high-impact materials.
  • Maintain awareness of external oncology landscape and translate insights into communication implications; support advisory boards/expert engagement as relevant.
Qualifications / Requirements
  • PhD, PharmD, MD, or equivalent.
  • Significant biopharma oncology experience; substantial experience in Medical Affairs, Scientific Communications, Clinical Development, or related functions.
  • Demonstrated experience leading oncology scientific communications strategy across development and/or commercialization.
  • Experience supporting pre‑launch/launch oncology assets and working across global/regional medical affairs environments.
  • Strong understanding of oncology clinical development/treatment landscapes and scientific exchange.
  • Proven ability to develop scientific narratives and translate complex data into strategic communication platforms.
  • Strong cross‑functional leadership/influence; excellent written and verbal communication.

Travel

Moderate to significant travel may be required.

Pay/Benefits (US)

Expected pay range: $198,900/year to $318,300/year + benefits, annual bonus & equity.
