Senior Area General Manager (Sr. AGM), Asundexian – Boston, MA

Responsibilities
  • Accountable for achieving revenue goals for the area; execute comprehensive revenue growth strategies and initiatives within the provided financial framework.
  • Develop and lead a high‑performing cross‑functional team, including sales representatives, institutional specialists, key account managers, and others.
  • Identify, retain and attract high‑performing talent; build and lead a culture of ownership and collaboration.
  • Gain deep market, financial and therapeutic understanding; engage in local and national health‑care strategies and trends.
  • Define local area strategy and priorities in collaboration with HQ; manage a portfolio of brands across therapeutic areas.
  • Direct local squad P&L; monitor financial reports and optimize budget allocation for marketing and customer‑engagement initiatives.
  • Develop long‑term relationships with influential customers; effectively communicate the value proposition through proposals and presentations.
  • Maintain communications with direct reports, matrix partners and stakeholders.
  • Lead a health system‑focused sales organization engaging IDNs, ACOs, and large health systems; collaborate with Regional and National Account Directors.
  • Build strategic partnerships with C‑suite and D‑suite leaders to shape enterprise adoption and formulary access.
  • Enable patient access and reimbursement strategies for the entire portfolio.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Strong mindset of ownership, curiosity and accountability; broad business understanding with financial acumen and data‑driven decision making.
  • Significant experience in Stroke, Anti‑Coagulation and Cardiovascular therapeutic areas.
  • Strategic vision and proven success in implementing business plans in a matrixed environment.
  • Exceptional problem‑solving and root‑cause analysis skills.
  • Solid selling and negotiation skills; experience managing budgets and resources.
  • Proven ability to collaborate cross‑functionally with marketing, market access, medical and patient access.
  • Exceptional leadership and influence, with experience leading multi‑disciplinary teams.
  • Strong coaching, mentoring and talent development skills.
  • Deep understanding of health systems, customer segments and regional market dynamics.
  • Willingness to travel routinely on a weekly basis; valid driver’s license required.
  • 8+ years of experience in pharmaceutical/biotech sector with increasing responsibility in sales, account management or related areas.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Direct leadership experience with secondary stroke prevention therapies.
  • Advanced understanding of recurrent stroke risk factors and treatment guidelines.
  • Experience engaging neurologists, cardiologists, primary care and advanced practice providers.
  • Knowledge of care transitions from hospital to outpatient and chronic management.
  • Experience with formulary management, prior authorization and real‑world evidence.
  • Collaboration with HEOR teams to support outcomes and cost‑of‑care discussions.
  • Track record of driving adoption in crowded, guideline‑driven therapeutic categories.
  • Credibility in discussions around risk‑benefit, safety and long‑term outcomes.
  • Commitment to patient‑centric, evidence‑based secondary stroke prevention.
Benefits

Salary range: $202,000 – $. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission. Benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave and more.
