Business Development Manager for Offshore Wind

Job Description

Axess Offshore Wind is seeking a candidate to fill the position as Business Development Manager. This candidate will have a proven track record in winning contracts and be customer-facing with self-sufficiency in the day-to-day management of proposals, customer strategies and projects.

• North America Offshore Wind business development activities, identifying opportunities in the marketplace, leveraging and growing relationships with potential customers.
• Provide key market intelligence to help develop services according to east coast wind industry needs.
• Lead proposal development efforts and RFP responses, which may involve multidisciplined teams.
• Client interaction including scoping, status reporting and review of deliverables.
• Skilled in developing value propositions and following staff coordination.
• Maintain product and services quality from sales/project delivery to completion.
• Be an advisor to the customer and participate in developing solutions.
• Participate in industry events, conferences and customer meetings as related to the Axess portfolio of products and services.
• Negotiating with Stakeholders
• Identifying new business streams and viable income streams.
• Increasing client base and upselling services
• Updating and keeping updated customer contact sheets.
• Improving and encouraging others to keep Sales Meeting notes on SharePoint (Ability to motivate the team)
• Managing & retaining relationships with existing clients
• Marketing & design (social media)

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering and degreed commercial professional with proven experience.
• Minimum of three years of professional and relevant experience in the offshore wind industry.
• Previous experience in a similar role within the oil and gas industry
• Thorough understanding of offshore technology mechanisms and project development. (Understanding the decision makers, costing, and supply chain practices)
• Ability to flourish with minimal guidance, be proactive, and handle uncertainty.
• Strong written and verbal English language skills.
• Proficient in MS Suite, Power BI, and CMR systems.
