Sales Specialist

We are seeking a Home Energy Specialist to work directly with homeowners to identify opportunities to improve the comfort and energy efficiency of their homes. This is a field-based position combining customer service, education, energy efficiency, and sales
.

The Home Energy Specialist will conduct in-home energy assessments, evaluate energy usage, educate homeowners on potential improvements, and recommend energy-saving solutions such as insulation and high-efficiency heating and cooling systems.

• Conduct comprehensive in-home energy assessments
• Evaluate homes and identify opportunities for improved energy efficiency
• Utilize energy efficiency software to model homes and generate reports
• Recommend energy-saving improvements, including insulation, lighting, and high-efficiency HVAC solutions
• Educate homeowners on energy efficiency options, available programs, and potential savings
• Provide excellent customer service throughout the assessment process
• Recommend appropriate services and assist customers with moving forward with energy-saving improvements
• Guide homeowners through required paperwork and documentation
• Install basic energy-saving products during assessments when applicable
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of completed assessments
• Stay current on energy-efficient products, services, and technologies
• Work collaboratively with internal teams to provide homeowners with appropriate solutions

• High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred
• Previous customer service and/or sales experience preferred
• Experience with home energy efficiency is a plus
• Industry certification related to building performance or energy efficiency is preferred
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required
• Basic computer skills
• Strong communication, listening, and interpersonal skills
• Strong organization and time-management skills
• Ability to work independently in a field-based environment
• Professional, personable, and customer-focused demeanor

This is a field-based position that requires travel to customer homes using a personal vehicle. The role involves working both indoors and outdoors and may require entering attics, basements, crawl spaces, and other confined areas.

Candidates must be comfortable standing, bending, kneeling, and crawling as needed. The position may also require climbing ladders, navigating stairs, and lifting up to approximately 60 pounds.

This is an individual contributor position with no direct supervisory responsibilities.
