Job Overview

The Precision Genetics group within the Data, AI and Genome Sciences Department seeks a Senior Scientist to join our Computational Precision Immunology team in Cambridge, MA. This role focuses on developing predictive biomarkers in immunology through multi‑modal, multi‑scale data analyses.

• Data Ingestion:
  Query external databases (Pub Med, Gene Expression Omnibus, Array Express, gnom
  
  AD, GTEx, Ensembl) to acquire relevant multi‑omics datasets.
• RNA‑seq Analysis:
  Perform quality control and analysis of bulk and single‑cell RNA‑seq data using FastQC, STAR, Limma, DESeq2, cluster
  
  Profiler, Seurat, scanpy, Leaf Cutter, and related tools.
• Multi‑Omics Analysis:
  Analyze spatial transcriptomics (Slide‑seq, MERFISH, squidpy) and proteomics data (OLINK, mass‑spectrometry‑based approaches).
• Data Integration:
  Integrate multi‑omics datasets—including gene/protein expression, mRNA splicing, spatial transcriptomics, and genotype data—to generate actionable insights.
• Documentation:
  Prepare detailed documentation of analysis methods and results in a timely manner.

• Ph.D. in Computational Biology or a related field.
• Over 5 years of hands‑on experience in multi‑omics analysis.
• Fundamental understanding of statistical methods and multi‑omics data integration (RNA‑Seq, single‑cell RNA‑Seq, genotype, spatial transcriptomics, OLINK).
• Proficiency in R, Python, and Bash with ability to establish reproducible data‑analysis best practices.
• Experience with high‑performance computing (HPC) systems and AWS Cloud Services (IAM, S3 buckets).
• Strong work ethic with ability to manage multiple objectives in a dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
