Associate Scientist - Hybrid

Aptask Global Workforce (AGW) is seeking an Associate Scientist for a Hybrid position with a Global Biotechnology Company located in Cambridge, MA. This is a 24+ month contract opportunity.

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing experiments, organizing data, and analyzing results with minimal supervision. This role involves planning and conducting studies to generate robust and reliable data, ensuring compliance with protocols and applicable guidelines within a biopharmaceutical working environment.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor or follow established experimental design and protocols to perform routine tasks and studies to obtain reproducible and reliable results with limited supervision
• Plan, monitor or conduct, analyze and record experiments, and provide interpretation of data
• Develop and implement new protocols with moderate review
• Work efficiently in a matrix team environment and collaborate with coworkers
• Communicate data and interpretation to work group
• Skilled at developing systems to ensure quality data
• Effectively troubleshoot equipment and experimental difficulties
• Contribute to internal/external reports, papers, presentations, regulatory documents, invention disclosure submissions and/or patents
• Participate in department-wide support efforts such as safety, recruiting and committees
• May train staff and/or supervise others
• Coordinate and organize resources needed to complete the task
• Understand when to seek input and when to make independent judgments

Requirements:

• Minimum BS degree in Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biology or related discipline
• BS with at least 2 years of experience in a Biopharmaceutical working environment, or an MS is preferred (or Associate's degree and 4 years of experience OR High school diploma / GED and 6 years of experience)
• Skilled and/or knowledgeable in the use of standard laboratory equipment and with one or more major laboratory instruments/techniques (HPLC, CE, physical property testing)
• Ability to communicate data and interpretation to a work group
• Experience following established experimental design and protocols to perform routine tasks and studies

Pay range: up to $30.32 per hour
