Security Officer Corporate Pharma

Allied Universal is currently hiring a full‑time Security Officer for a pharmaceutical company in Cambridge, MA.

Schedule:

Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:45 PM.

Pay:
Starting at $26.10 per hour, with paid orientation, paid training, free parking or 5 minutes from T Station.

Ideal candidate:
Comfortable with computers, customer service, access control, and alarm monitoring.

On this unarmed patrol duty, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to deter security incidents, and deliver excellent customer service and communication. You will support patients, staff, and visitors with professionalism, teamwork, and integrity, bringing an agile, reliable, and innovative approach to each shift.

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location‑specific policies, and emergency response activities within the healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, or critical situations calmly, document details, and communicate observations per site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized access and report maintenance, lighting, and access control concerns.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and other assigned areas, verify credentials, direct visitors, and support access management procedures per site requirements.
• Assist with alarms, disturbances, medical‑related calls, and other security concerns while coordinating with site contacts and public responders as needed.

• Customer service experience preferred.
• At least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation required per federal, state, and local laws.
• Consideration of applications with criminal history consistent with applicable laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply per state or local regulations.
• Valid driver’s license required only for driving positions.
