The Public Safety Management Program ensures a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors, and promotes employee participation in loss prevention.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Respond promptly to emergencies.

Call for assistance professionally within one minute, as per reports and supervisor observations.

Perform according to prescribed procedures during emergencies.

Assess and resolve crises effectively, following training protocols.

Patrol and report safety hazards and loss prevention issues.

Conduct regular patrols and safety rounds.

Enforce hospital protocols, regulations, policies, and applicable laws.

Report incidents accurately and promptly.

Maintain security via CCTV and alarm systems, responding swiftly to alarms.

Maintain positive public relations and respectful communication.

Investigate suspicious activities, question witnesses, and protect property.

Provide transportation and VIP protection as needed.

Conduct fire drills and participate in training and orientation.

Manage hospital parking and enforce related regulations.

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or G.E.D.; associate's degree preferred.
At least one year of related experience.
Valid Massachusetts driver's license with a safe driving record.
Decision-making skills under stress.
Ability to obtain CPR and CPI certifications.
