Job Description
Position SummaryWe are seeking a motivated and dependable individual to join our team as a Maintenance Apprentice. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hands-on work, an interest in problem-solving and mechanical troubleshooting, and a commitment to providing quality customer service while ensuring the comfort and safety of our residents. This position offers an excellent opportunity for growth and skill development within the residential maintenance field.
EssentialJob Functions
Perform basic routine inspections of buildings to identify and address maintenance issues. Assist in conducting preventive maintenance tasks, such as simple HVAC system checks, filter replacements, and equipment lubrication. Learn and apply foundational maintenance procedures under supervision.
Diagnose and assist in repairing basic plumbing, electrical, and mechanical issues in residential units. Address minor appliance malfunctions with guidance.
Support in maintaining the exterior appearance of residential properties, including basic landscaping, lawn care, and occasional snow removal. Assist in ensuring proper disposal of trash and debris from common areas.
Learn to keep accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections. Communicate effectively with property management regarding completed tasks and ongoing projects.
Interact professionally with residents under supervision and address their maintenance concerns in a timely manner.
Participate in learning activities (including online, shadowing, classroom, etc.) as a part of gaining skills and knowledge related to on-site maintenance activities.
This position requires a(n) High School diploma or equivalent.

Commensurate with Experience
$18.94 - 26.51 hourly
