Job Summary
Perform a variety of skilled and semi-skilled tasks to maintain the operation of the buildings within the network.
Essential Functions- Emergency and routine repairs are responded to within department time frames and meet regulatory requirements to ensure safety.
- Mechanical equipment is operated and maintained in a safe and serviceable condition.
- Lights and nurse call lights are replaced, beds and other patient equipment are repaired ensuring safety, temperature control devices are adjusted, sinks and toilets are maintained in working order and other repairs are completed per established guidelines.
- Painting services are completed per established guidelines.
- Documentation reflects repairs, replacement parts, and adjustments as per department and regulatory guidelines.
- Preventative maintenance program is established and maintained per established time frames and OSHA requirements.
- Safety equipment and tools are readily available and in working order.
- Assistance is provided to the various trades in the installation, maintenance or basic repair of equipment, piping, electric, HVAC systems, and various other duties per department standards.
Education:
High School Diploma or Equivalent required or Trade/Technical/Vocational Diploma Related Field of Study preferred.
Licenses & Credentials: 608 Technician Certification – Environmental Protection Agency preferred.
Experience:
Prior trades experience 1‑2 years required; this role accepts experience in lieu of a degree.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Must be knowledgeable of safe maintenance practices, procedures, and guidelines. Effective verbal, electronic and written communication skills using the English language. Computer proficiency required;
Microsoft Office applications preferred with ability to learn new software. Highly developed communications and interpersonal skills, working with a diverse population. Work independently, be self‑directed and contribute as a member of a team.
