Diesel Mechanic Technician

Position Details

Compensation: $34.10 - $44.35 per hour (depending on experience). Sign-On Bonus: $5,000. 4-Day Work Week:
Thursday – Saturday 5:30 pm – 5:30 am;
Wednesday 11:30 pm – 5:30 am.

Tool Allowance, Quarterly Safety Incentive, Free Uniforms and Boot Allowance. Benefits start Day 1 of Employment.

• Perform preventative maintenance, minor repairs, and component inspections/repairs on fleet diesel equipment (tractors, trailers, refrigeration units), identifying root cause of basic failures and completing required repairs.
• Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings, and other critical parts to ensure proper operating condition, replacing parts as needed.
• Ensure equipment has required licensing and registration before being deemed road‑worthy.
• Complete thorough documentation for work orders of repairs and preventative maintenance in the online Enterprise Asset Management system.
• Install, replace, and repair onboard computers.
• Use hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wrenches, pressure gauges, and precision instruments, as well as power tools including pneumatic wrenches, welding equipment, jacks, and hoists.
• Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, battery checks, and lubrication of equipment and machinery.
• Train other employees.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 5–7 years of experience in medium to heavy‑duty vehicle repair, including preventive maintenance, tire and wheel work, air and disc brake systems, diagnosis, computerized diagnostics, electrical troubleshooting, and electronic component repair.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in A/C refrigeration.
