Our Service Specialists p erform assigned tasks on automation systems. Tasks include service agreement maintenance, projects, and on-call (time and material) service. Responds to emergency service calls as directed during regularly scheduled hours and after hours as needed. Our S ervice Specialists are the face of Siemens, and your expertise and regular interaction with the customer will help them save energy and money, as well as create a more sustainable future for our environment.

As

a Service Specialist, you will:
  • Execute digitalization and standard service operations strategies
  • This role is based in Cambridge, MA (single-site support) and is commutable from Arlington, Somerville, Waltham, Newton, Medford, and surrounding Metro Boston communities.
  • Work with multiple internal service team members including Service Sales, Client Service Managers, Service Coordinators, and RAM Digital Service Center personnel
  • Follow safety requirements as outlined by Siemens and customers and successfully completes assigned training as outlined in the training path
  • Follow mandatory policies, procedures, and standards, may coordinate with contractors on job sites,maintain stools and test equipment
  • Supportafter hours during on-call rotation, responds to service calls (emergency and on-site) as assigned. Performs repairs as directed on all automation system types
You will make an impact with these qualifications:
  • 2+ years of experience servicing, maintaining, troubleshooting, or commissioning electronic control systems, HVAC equipment, building automation systems, or other related electromechanical systems.
  • Demonstrated experience working with electromechanical systems through employment, military service, technical training, or education, including the use of personal computers, software applications, and electronic diagnostic equipment (e.g., multimeters).
  • Abilityandwillingnessto work in a variety of circumstances, including climbing ladders, scaffolds, andhigh lift equipment,working in ducts, crawl spaces, roofs, basements, above ceilings, and in various conditions
  • Must be ableand willingto use hand tools, laptop, email, smartphone, and tablet as well as carrying and moving equipment and tools weighing up to 75 pounds unassisted
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
  • Ability and willingness to work overtime when needed
  • Must be 18 years of age andpossessa valid driver's license with limited violations; must meet eligibility requirements toparticipatein Siemens' fleet vehicle program
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship
  • High school diploma or state-recognized GED
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience installing and servicing electronic control or HVAC equipment
