Family Support Specialist; Bilingual

This position offers a $4,000 sign on bonus*.

• Paid 60 days after employment. Employees must stay 2 years or pay back all (if leave less than 1 year) or 50% (if leave between 1 and 2 year) of the bonus

conducts home visits and uses targeted interventions to strengthen family protective factors and resolve conflict. Responsibilities include monitoring child safety, supporting parents in building parenting and advocacy skills, and connecting families to community resources. The role also includes providing case management services and maintaining accurate and timely documentation. This work helps families build safe, stable, and permanent relationships.

• Manages a caseload of families referred by DCF or other community providers
• Collaborates with parents, children, DCF staff, Lead Agencies, community resources, and Bridges Homeward staff in developing plans specifying resources and services
• Provide in home crisis response aimed at stabilizing the family
• Provide a range of interventions aimed at supporting family capacity to safely care for children in order to prevent out of home placement of children and youth, or to support return of children and youth to their families
• Coaches Family Time Visitation

• Bachelor's degree in human services, social work, psychology, education, or a related field OR high school degree with 5 years related experience
• Valid driver's license and properly insured vehicle
• Occasionally provide transportation to clients in your vehicle
• Bilingual candidates are needed for this position. There is an exceptional need for Spanish and Haitian Creole speaking professionals at this time.

Salary: $47500 - $48500 per year
