Sr. Build & Release Engineer

Job Overview

Build and Release Engineer responsible for maintaining and improving a large‑scale build and test pipeline for a dynamic fintech team. The role is hybrid 3 days per week at Cincinnati, OH, Atlanta, GA, Denver, CO, or fully remote within the Greater Boston Area. Candidates must be U.S. citizens or Green Card holders.

• Maintain and improve the large‑scale build and test pipeline used by dozens of engineers.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
• Troubleshoot and fix pipeline issues.
• Improve and upgrade pipeline components.
• Build tools to support developers.
• Troubleshoot build and deployment issues across development and QA environments.
• Automate deployments and configuration management using Ansible or Puppet.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams for seamless code integration and release.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, computer science, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience, with 5+ years of related experience.
• Strong software development experience.
• Strong Java and scripting (Bash, Python) skills.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
• Solid knowledge of Git and Jenkins.
• Strong Linux skills.
• Ability to debug complex systems and work in unfamiliar codebases.
• Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills.

• Working knowledge of SQL and databases.
• Familiarity with Grafana, Ansible, or Git Hub (including Actions).
