• Experience working collaboratively with designers, UX researchers, product managers, and engineers.
• Experience delivering software reliability and support outcomes at large‑scale.
• Experience delivering developer productivity platforms or tooling.
• Experience with Full Stack Development.

The P2020 Rollouts team owns the canonical continuous deployment (CD) solution used for the continuous deployments of binaries, configurations, footprint changes, Spanner schema changes, and more to production. The team is part of the P2020 organization and Google Production Platform (GPP). Rollouts is composed of dedicated engineering, product management, UX, and technical program management functions located in DUB, ZRH, and CAM.

Candidates will work from the Cambridge office; this role is not open to 100% remote candidates.

In this role, you will deliver a scalable, reliable, and performant CD solution that meets the developer and change management needs of Google Product Areas. You will collaborate with Product Management (PM) and User Experience (UX) leadership to design and implement an easy‑to‑use Rollouts user experience that aligns with the Google Production Platform. Using your full‑stack skills, you will revamp Rollouts and its alignment with the underlying CD APIs.

You will also partner with executive leadership to align the Rollouts stack with Terraform as part of Compute Engine 4 Arm (C4A). This position demands a passion for building large‑scale, resilient code and innovating new technological architectures.

• Own technical strategy, engineering architecture, and designs that underpin multi‑change orchestration for the 110‑person+ P2020 Rollouts team.
• Lead initiatives that enable continuous deployment of complex changes, providing an opinionated and governed solution for coordinating multiple roll‑out units. This includes capacity management, precise ordering of changes across server, infrastructure, and service dependencies, and complex system changes such as data migrations and new feature launches.
• Lead complex projects, mentor engineers, and influence the overall technical direction of Rollouts.
• Lead, oversee, and guide project work, including coaching and growth of Rollouts team leads.

US: $262,000 - $365,000 (USD) + 25% bonus target + equity + benefits
