Experience:

MN Teaching License, or if you have a four-degree you can obtain a Short Call Substitute License from PELSB. Successful background check required Experience working with children preferred

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Needed:
Patience, flexibility, love for children, confidentiality, team work, self starter, take direction easily, excellent communication skills, behavior management skills, and lead classrooms. Exemplifies the following Five Character Traits: compassion, respect, responsibility, self discipline and honesty.

Specific Tasks:

• Utilize Red Rover, the district's substitute placement and absence management system, to accept and manage substitute assignments, maintain availability, and complete substitute-related responsibilities.
• Effectively manage a classroom by maintaining a positive learning environment, keeping students engaged, and addressing behavioral concerns as appropriate.
• Assume all duties and responsibilities of the absent teacher as assigned, follow lesson plans and instructional materials provided by the regular classroom teacher, and supervise students to ensure their safety throughout the school day, including during non-classroom duties when assigned.
• Leave clear feedback and notes for the regular classroom teacher regarding the day's activities and demonstrate flexibility and a willingness to perform duties outside the original assignment as needed.

Hours Per Day: 7.5 for a full day, or as needed per assignment
